Adam swimming lesson.
I am at sengkang swimming pool now and it's such a pleasure to have a
parking lot. I still have to make a big round trip to the entrance of
the complex but it's ok. Actually I can view Adam from where I am. His
pool us just over the fence.
Been to jusco, bukit indah and I must say that it's a very nice place.
It's huge and I have yet to venture anywhere else besides the food
court and a quarter of the supermarket. Bought sushi for Adam. It was
about 50 cents each. He seems to love it. According to one of the
staff, the shopping centre was opened about 6 months ago. I hope the
management can maintain the complex cleanliness.

Swine flu.

Swine flu.
Just heard that there are three new cases in my wife school. This is
really starting to worry me. Not only is my son at risk my wife is at
risk too.
A friend of mine who is from the school I use to teach is under
quarantine orders. Apparently, he was in close proximity to an army
liasion officer during a briefing in the ne show. Sheesh.

First day of school and I had readily settled in the usual routine except this time there are some twists. I have registered myself as a relief teacher and thus I could be callled any day. Thus, today I sent Su to school all dressed up only to find that there were no calls for me. Oh well, it was a good day for a nap anyways. So, having just woken up from a nap I should be off to complete some errands.

Checked the motoring website and it's jammed up on the way back to
Singapore. I think I should make my way now. Oh oh, toilet calls first.
The swine flu is really getting me worried. The reported case now
exceeds 500 and still schools are kept open. Thus the countdown has
begin. If there is no major outbreak in the next seven days then, all
is well. But all it takes is just once instance if swine flu related
case and any amount of regret is useless.

Forgotten it was father's day today until Leonard came and wish me so. Leonard's family came and visited us as they handed over their keys. Lynn was teary eyed as she spoke to yok peng and the other Lynn.

Seeing that it was a few minutes past four, I thought it would be a
good idea to go to spc to pump a few dollars of petrol and to buy some
curry puffs. So this was how the conversation I had with my son went.
Me: who wants to follow me to old chang kee?
Adam: not me. But can you buy for me 2 sardine o and 1 curry o?
Me: but why don't you want to follow me?
Adam: because I want to play with Irsyad.
Me: come lah, follow me.
Adam: it's fathers day. You go lah.
Me: sigh.

Just one more lonely night and Su will be back tomorrow.

Su called and told me about the newspaper article this morning in the straits times. In that article it is reported about a man who travel to kl and came back diagnosed with the swine virus. The problem was and it could be still is that Su was on that same plane. That was six days ago and since it is reported that the onset period is 7 days at the most, Su seems to be in great shape.

Personally, I am very worried. That flu thing could really be a bad
thing. Su is coming back on monday and after which she is on a 7 days
quarantine period. If I were to look at it positively, I guess it's
payback time for the days she had to be away from the family.

It's almost eleven. I am here l, at home, alone. Su is still in Malaysia while Adam is at woodlands. I am not feeling well so that's why I excuse myself from the class tonight. I did not even go to Batrisha's birthday party just now as I was sneezing and was having a runny nose.

The house is quiet. Well, except for the noise generated by the
traffic downstairs. I have to do a car exchange with my dad tomorrow
as he is going to spg renggam tomorrow. I won't be following.
My mother in law just call asking me to stay at home while she brings
adam out. I am not going to just sit there and have her running my
life with Adam. After I do the car exchange I will buy Adam breakfast
and have it there. Then I will let her have some time with Adam.
I have been told what to do too long a time and she have been telling
people what to do too long a time. I wonder what will be good?
I guess to make matters better for I will bring her the credit card
statement.
I am not being mean but I have a voice and it's a voice that will be
heard.

An Indian couple just jogged past me. I like to think that I am adverse to judging people but you have to say something about people who jogged in their flip flops. By the looks if them, I would label them as one of those Indian expats. I am not racist but to jog with flip flops, I mean, it's crazy. Honestly I cannot stand people with an I am holier than though attitude. And I find this very prevalent in the Indian expat community. It has affected me so much that I have started to label almost every Indian I met as such. There is really a great difference in Singapore indians and those expat Indians. My Indian friends are themselves not too fond of them either.

I am so pissed at wawa. It is so difficult to get her to respond to any ofbthe questions that I put to her. It is as if she is becoming too lazy. We went to the library just now. She chose a book where it was just one line on each page and a very simple picture on every other page. Knowing that she can't read, I attempted to have her tell me a story based on the pictures. But to get her to respond to a simple question such as what do you see in the picture or what do you think the dog is doing is monumental. And when she did respond it will using the squeaky voice of hers. I got so pissed when she does that. So pissed that I shouted at her on the way to the swimming pool. I mean she used her loud voice when she talks. I do not see why age would use the squeaky one when she is answering to me. I don't even know why she is here. It's one thing to have poor family support but it's another to be just plain lazy. I still am angry right now as I ponder as to what I could do more. Just to add, both of them were in tears. Lynn broke down in front me.
I think they are second guessing themselves too much. Sent them to
their new house and I must say, it's not bad. Tastefully done.
Basically, the deal was to move to tampines so that they could send
their two sons to st hildas. After which they want to mice back here.
Sheesh! But then every parents wants what's best for their kids.

Called su about half an hour ago. She is still not done for the day! They are having ice breakers and knowing what su went through last night, we slept around 3am, I bet she is dead tired now. I do not have her iterinary so I do not know what is in store for her tomorrow.

I am now at jusco malacca. We stopped here to have dinner but it's too early. Most of us are still full.

Prior to this, we drove on the inner roads. It was a very bumpy ride.
We exited at pedas linggi and too the highway towards Ayer keroh. It
was less than 100 km but it took us more than an hour.
Now my back hurt. Su is leaving for a comference tomorrow. She will be
gone for some 7to 8 days. Have not told her yet but I am sure going to
miss her. She will be back next Monday. I hope I can last that long.

Right butt feels very tender. I think

Su waiting anxiously for the food.
I don't get it. How difficult is it for someone to keep to his or her
word. I never should have agreed to Riza suggetion of eating in. I
wonder how much longer it will take to end this wait.
I would not wait to have my children have their dinner. Thus, I
wouldnot want to waste time meeting at anybody else's place later. I
will just have dinner at my place.
Same goes for tomorrow breakfast as well.
